The winners will receive the Travellers’ Choice Award. Again this year, a Greek all-inclusive resort took first place – not only in the European ranking, but also worldwide.

The best all-inclusive hotel in Europe according to the current Tripadvisor ranking is located on the Greek island of Kos, more precisely on the Kefalos peninsula there. His name: Ikos Aria. From a total of 1356 reviews on the travel website, the resort almost exclusively received the grade “excellent”. It was also ranked number one among the best all-inclusive hotels in the world. But what makes the Ikos Aria so special? TRAVELBOOK took a closer look at the location, the offer and the reviews on Tripadvisor.

The best all-inclusive hotel in Europe at a glance

The luxurious 5-star complex extends over 20 hectares on the southwest coast of the island of Kos, at the beginning of the Kefalos peninsula. According to its website, the Ikos Aria has a total of 370 suites, rooms and bungalows, some of which are located directly on the sandy beach. There are also eight restaurants, various bars and several indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel offers various activities for adults and children, as well as extensive childcare. The whole thing has its price: the inexpensive room, a double room with balcony, costs from 280 euros. The most expensive accommodations – private bungalows with their own pool right on the beach – are available from 870 euros per night. In the high season it is sometimes significantly more expensive. So staying at the Ikos Aria is definitely not cheap.

Nevertheless, according to research by TRAVELBOOK, many rooms and suites are already fully booked in the summer season. And previous guests have loved it, as can be seen from the Tripadvisor reviews: “This is a beautiful hotel in one of the most wonderful locations anywhere. The hotel complex is immaculate, the wide sandy beach is beautiful, the water is crystal clear and the view of the island is simply stunning,” writes one user. “The arrival, the stay, the departure, everything is PERFECT,” says another. Above all, the service and the friendliness of the employees are repeatedly mentioned in the reviews.

Incidentally, with the Ikos Dassia on the island of Corfu and the Ikos Olivia in Chalkidiki, two other resorts in the same hotel group made it to places 2 and 3 in the Tripadvisor rankings. Andreas Andreadis, head of the hotel group, was delighted with the award. “The employees in our hotels do their best throughout the season and it makes me very proud that the travelers appreciate this extraordinary commitment so much,” he said in a press release.

How does Tripadvisor determine the best all-inclusive hotels in Europe?

The Travellers’ Choice Awards are based on a combination of the volume and quality of reviews. Good hotels in busy places therefore have an advantage if they manage to offer service and comfort that earns guests a top rating.
