Japan’s finance and transport ministers will meet in coming days to decide on a restructuring plan for beleagured carrier Japan Airlines Corp.
Finance Minister Hirohisa Fujii said a plan for JAL may come “within the next several days,” with the government likely to provide aid to the airline, according to a Kyodo News report.
Transport Minister Seiji Maehara confirmed a decision will be made in consultation with Fujii’s ministry, though he gave no time frame for a decision, according to Dow Jones Newswires.
