Tourist arrivals into Turkey rose 5.2% year-on-year in September, after falling 0.05% in the previous month, the country’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism said Friday.
A year earlier, tourist arrivals were up 6.49%. In September, tourist arrivals increased to 3.14 million from 2.98 million last year, but came lesser than the 3.76 million arrivals reported last month.
In the first nine months of the year, tourist arrivals climbed 1.47%, much slower than the 13.29% growth seen in the same period of last year.
