A Swiss tourist died after falling from a hotel’s staircase in Rajasthan’s Pushkar town, police said today.
“The freak accident took place in the hotel yesterday morning when the tourist Xavier Antonio was walking down the stairs from the first floor of the hotel and fell unconscious,” SHO, Pushkar, Rameshwar Bhati said.
47-year-old Antonio, who was staying in the town since March 27, was rushed to a government hospital in Ajmer where he died, he said, adding, the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi has been informed about the incident.
