Authorities of the Venezuelan tourist sector said that new actions will be implemented to increase tourist proposals, including the cable cars of Merida and Warairarepano (Caracas), said today the minister of that sector.
In the case of the city cable car, the project includes the addition of a route to Macuto and the restoration of Humboldt Hotel.
According to Prensa Latina news, the strengthening of Venezuelan Tourism hotel chain is also highlighted by the ministry, and with that objective, the construction of three hotels has already began in Caracas, Maracaibo (Zulia) and Morrocoy (Falcón).
The estimated investment is near the 44 million Bolivars ($69.8 million USD).
The international expansion of Venetur is also planned; the first destination would be Ile a Vache, Haiti.
Other project of interest to Venezuela is gaining foreign tourists from Brazil and Colombia to strengthen the domestic tourist market.
For that reason, the revival of the Manaos-Margarita air route is a priority expected to boost tourist emission from northern Brazil.
