Athletics superstar Usain Bolt was again under the spotlight as he led Jamaica to a gold medal in the 4×100m in the Penn Relays at the weekend in Philadelphia.

The Jamaican superstar broke the meet record by 0.02 seconds which was set by the USA last year, which was not surprising for the 100m, 200m and 4×100m world and Olympic champion.

The Jamaican team beat two American teams to help bring Jamaican athletes Mario Forsythe, Yohan Blake and Marvin Anderson at a time of 37.90 seconds in the special event which sees USA face the wrest of the world.

The USA Blue team made of Walter Dix, Mike Rodgers, Shawn Crawford and Ivory Williams finished in second position with 38.33 seconds.

The Philadelphia athletics stadium was pact with 54,000 fans who came to see America and the world 100 and 200 Meter world record holder.

Over 54,000 fans turned out for the meet to see Bolt and the USA Blue team of Walter Dix, Mike Rodgers, Shawn Crawford and Ivory Williams, who finished second in 38.33 seconds.

Bolt has told reporters that the Jamaican’s will be very difficult to win in the upcoming season as they have trained very well including a two week training session involving changing the baton successfully.

Bolt said “I told the guys to make sure I don’t have to work, because I really didn’t want to do much,”

“I got the baton pretty much in front, so I wasn’t really worried about anything else and was confident I would cross the line first.

“We’ve been doing baton changes for two weeks and came here really focused and ready and we went out there and executed.
