The third anniversary of the start of Delta Air Lines nonstop service between Accra’s Kotoka International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Due to the success of this route, effective 2 June 2010, Delta will launch a second nonstop service with three weekly flights between Accra and the world’s largest airline hub in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Delta was the first major U.S. carrier to operate scheduled nonstop service from Ghana and has flown more than 230,000 passengers between Accra and New York since 2006.
In Case You Missed It
Delta has recently re-timed its New York-JFK service to arrive earlier in the U.S., enabling passengers to connect more comfortably onto more than 50 destinations. New flight connections available in New York include Albany, N.Y., Syracuse, N.Y. and Denver; better-timed connections include Washington D.C., Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston.
