With new academic session in universities in the US and the UK beginning soon, Virgin Atlantic airlines of Britain today announced free baggage and other offers for students traveling to those countries.
According to The Times of India, The airlines announced increase in free baggage allowance of 46 kg for students travelling to the US and the UK.
Apart from it, the airline would also be providing free holiday package for parents or two friends of a lucky flyer, which would be valid from July 16 till October 31.
“The holiday package for one lucky student includes two complimentary return air tickets from Delhi to London on Virgin Atlantic as well as three nights hotel accommodation in London and three tickets each to the city’s major tourist landmarks including The London Eye, Madame Tussaud’s, The Tower of London, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Hop On Hop Off tour,” a statement from the airline said.
Announcing the package, Michael Burke, General Manager of Virgin Atlantic, India, said “flying abroad for studies away from family is an emotional moment especially for students in India. The opportunity to host your parents or two friends for a free vacation in London as a student would be a delight and add to flyers wonderful memories.”
