Escape the winter blues in Thailand

in Far East, Tourism

Escape the winter blues in Thailand On the quiet north-eastern tip of Koh Pha-ngan, one of Thailand’s most beautiful islands, lies Santhiya, recent winner of the ‘Luxury Spa Hotel’ category at the World Luxury Travel Awards and a unique hideaway set within lush tropical gardens overlooking a sandy bay, offering luxurious accommodation, a warm Thai welcome and the ideal antidote to winter in the UK.

Visitors can enjoy a total saving of £450 per couple by taking advantage of a special offer including nine nights for the price of six at Santhiya, where the traditional Thai heritage and commitment to nature create a calming environment perfect for relaxation and getting away from it all.

With average temperatures in February of 30 degrees and the lowest rainfall of the year, Koh Pha-ngan is the ideal destination for those seeking an idyllic island paradise.

Trailfinders (trailfinders.com) offers nine nights from £1,169 per person, departing in February 2010. Price is based on two adults sharing a Santhiya Deluxe Room on a bed and breakfast basis, and incorporates three free nights.

The price also includes return economy class flights from Heathrow to Bangkok with Thai Airways International; onward flights to Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways; and return resort transfers.
