The Çeşme governor Cafer Sarılı said, such an important and widely read newspaper as The New York Time listing Çeşme in the top 31 places to go in 2010 made us very proud.

He continued by saying the news has changed our views for this summer in a positive way.

The Çeşme Mayor Faik Tütüncüoğlu also added that Çeşme is like a heaven and everyone should have the opportunity to come to our beautiful city at least once. He continued to say that the news will be a great opportunity for publicity to take this beautiful place to the popularity it deserves.

Alaçati, which was also mentioned in the list was also frilled of the news. The Alaçati mayor Muhittin Dalgıç, said the news is not surprise as Alaçati is one of the most beautiful places in world. He carried on by saying that he believes that the amount of tourists that will come to Alaçati will be as much as or possibly accede that of other popular summer holiday destinations in Turkey such as Antalya and Bodrum.

“Every year we host the Turkey Surf championship and one of the World Cup legs in surfing is done in Alicati. A place like this deserves to be one of the best holiday resorts in the world let alone Turkey.” said Dalgıç.
