Violin Concert to Open Cubadisco 2013One hundred violinists will play toniht a unique recital in the opening of the 17th Commercial Fair Cubadisco 2013, which will have Ecuador as guest of honor.

The sui géneris violin concert completes an awards-ceremony directed by Cuban composer Manolito Simonet, who will close a day dedicated almost entirely to the versatile string instrument.

In fact, the opening ceremony of Cubadisco will have the Symphonic National Orchestra under the conduction of Professor Enrique Pérez Mesa, with Ecuadorian violinists Eva Steinsleger and Jorge Saade.

Saade will play for the first time in Cuba the first violin concert composed in Ecuador by Jorge Oviedo, which he considered an honor and a challenge.

Among the special guests stand out the pianists Frank Fernández and Aldo López Gavilan and the violinists Evelio Tieles, Alfredo Muñoz, Rafael Lay, Enrique Álvarez, among others.
