Entry is now made even easier for vaccinated people.
After months of an entry ban due to the corona pandemic, holidaymakers from Germany have been allowed to enter Morocco again since the beginning of February. Until now, tourists had to show a negative PCR test upon entry. Morocco has now removed this requirement for vaccinated travelers. Proof is no longer necessary. The new regulation initially applies until August 16.
Entry regulations for Morocco
Those who have been vaccinated must present a valid vaccination card when entering Morocco. The vaccination certificate corresponds to the validity standards after receipt of the third or second dose, provided that this was not more than four months ago.
Travelers may be asked to undergo a rapid test at the airport or a PCR test at their destination after 48 hours. Who has to undergo a test is decided at random. In addition, the entry form “Fiche Sanitaire” must still be downloaded online, filled out and presented upon entry.
The Corona situation in Morocco
The number of corona infections in Morocco is comparatively low. In the last seven days, an average of 119 people per day have contracted the corona virus. The 7-day incidence is currently 2.2 – in around 37 million inhabitants. For comparison: Germany, with more than twice as many inhabitants, recently registered 37,069 new infections with the virus.
