Biggest Airport which has been built on the historical Silk Road was opened in Nevai city of Uzbekistan on Thursday.
Nevai Logistic Cargo Terminal, which was built with the support of South Korea’s airport company Korean Air, opened with a ceremony in Nevai.
Terminal which has been strengthen with motor and railways. Nevai Terminal will be the most convenient and comprehensive terminal in the East-West directions of historical Silk Road.
Deputy General Chairman of Uzbek Air Lines Egebergen Kurbanov and Korean Air Chairman Chi Chang-Hoon said terminal was the conclusion of the big investment of the two countries’ air transportation. They also noted the Nevai terminal would contribute the much easiness to developments of the collaboration between trade points which are being different points.
Nearly 110 Tons cargo can be processed in a one year. Nevai Terminal’s haul cargo capacity is increased from 300 tons to 1100 tons. Terminals also contain 4 Cool houses.
