The Erciyes Ski Center, brought to world-class standards with a \u20ac350 million ($390 million) investment by the Kayseri Municipality, has become one of the must-see places in the winter.<\/p>\n
The ski center’s modern chairlifts and high-tech cable car system allow tourists to enjoy skiing in a 25-kilometer square area (over 6,100 acres), from altitudes up to 3,400 meters (11,100 feet).<\/p>\n
When temperatures climb with the arrival of summer, it also draws vacationers want to enjoy themselves with plenty of clean mountain air.<\/p>\n
Murat Cahit Cingi, the ski center\u2019s head, told Anadolu Agency that they not only offer winter sports, but also social and cultural activities that attract visitors during the summertime.<\/p>\n
“Summer camps are a must for us,” Cingi said, adding that a full range of modern amenities are available.<\/p>\n
He underlined that tents and caravans can be rented daily, weekly, and monthly at reasonable prices. The ski center also hosts festivals on a nearby plateau at an altitude of 2,200 m (7,220 ft.).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will spend another summer full of sports, social activities, joy and excitement in Erciyes,” Cingi said.<\/p>\n
Visitors to Erciyes will have a chance to join activities including a bike festival, Festa 2200, and the Erciyes Moto Fest, as well as a summit climb and a beach volleyball tournament.<\/p>\n
The next Erciyes Ultra Skytrail, a high-altitude terrain race, will be held in Kayseri next June.<\/p>\n
