{"id":6720,"date":"2018-05-31T08:30:27","date_gmt":"2018-05-31T05:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/?p=6720"},"modified":"2020-05-20T09:41:11","modified_gmt":"2020-05-20T08:41:11","slug":"emirates-airline-to-launch-premium-economy-in-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/emirates-airline-to-launch-premium-economy-in-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Emirates airline to launch premium economy in 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_6722\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6722\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6722\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Tim-Clark.jpg\" alt=\"Emirates airline to launch premium economy in 2020\" width=\"610\" height=\"419\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Tim-Clark.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Tim-Clark-340x234.jpg 340w, https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Tim-Clark-768x528.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Tim-Clark-436x300.jpg 436w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6722\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Emirates airline chairman Tim Clark<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Emirates airline chairman said premium economy will be fitted on the A380s it ordered in January this year.<\/h2>\n<p>Emirates airline will launch its much anticipated premium economy offering in 2020 on the newly-ordered A380, according to its president, Sir Tim Clark.<\/p>\n<p>Premium economy is levelled at between economy class and business class and considered as a potentially lucrative product option for airlines facing tough macroeconomic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Late last year, in an interview with Aviation Business Middle East, Clark said Emirates \u201cmay have underestimated the demand for premium economy\u201d, and that it was \u201cseriously considering\u201d introducing the premium economy option for some of its aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the airline\u2019s podcast series<strong> Emirates<\/strong> World, Clark said premium economy, which \u201cremains a hot topic in the company\u201d, will launch when it takes delivery of the A380 aircraft it ordered in January this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have already \u2018spec\u2019d out\u2019 the airplanes; we know exactly what we\u2019re going to do, [and] where we\u2019re going to place these seats, which zones (destinations)and how we\u2019re designing the product,\u201d Clark told Steve Harvey, host of Emirates World interviews, which are broadcast on all the airline\u2019s flights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve just got to make absolutely sure that the maths stack up,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Without revealing too much detail about Emirates\u2019 premium offering, Clark described it as \u201cspecial\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe airplanes that we ordered, the latest A380s &#8211; the first six of which come in 2020 \u2013 we will be installing premium economy in those, and it will be an Emirates premium economy, so it will be special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Demand for First Class, however, \u201cremains strong in the Middle East and will continue into the future\u201d, Clark said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the upgraded First Class offering on its Boeing 777 flights to Geneva and Brussels are always full, and Emirates is \u201cworking to get them onto the A380 as soon as possible\u201d.<\/p>\n<!-- Error, Advert is not available at this time due to schedule\/geolocation restrictions!
