{"id":5955,"date":"2017-01-24T12:36:15","date_gmt":"2017-01-24T10:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/?p=5955"},"modified":"2022-09-28T13:43:39","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T12:43:39","slug":"david-cameron-to-address-world-travel-tourism-council-global-summit-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/david-cameron-to-address-world-travel-tourism-council-global-summit-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"David Cameron to address World Travel &#038; Tourism Council Global Summit 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2016, will address the WTTC Global Summit in 2017.<\/h2>\n<p>The Global Summit in Bangkok, Thailand 26-27 April 2017, will bring together global leaders from the Travel &amp; Tourism private and public sectors to explore the theme of \u2018Transforming our World\u2019, and how the sector\u2019s contribution to sustainable development can be maximised.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Cameron, will discuss some of the key geopolitical issues currently facing the world in which the sector operates.<\/p>\n<p>The youngest UK Prime Minister for almost 200 years, in 2015 he also became the first ever British Prime Minister to increase both his party\u2019s share of the vote and their number of seats in the House of Commons, having already served a full term as premier. In 2012-2013, he co-chaired a United Nations high-level panel in discussions which laid the groundwork for the 2015 agreement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n<p>David Scowsill, WTTC President &amp; CEO, said \u201cI am delighted that Mr Cameron will join us at our Global Summit this year. His international stature and first-hand experience of leadership on the world stage will bring extremely valuable insights to our Members and delegates. His views on the big issues currently facing an ever-changing world will be eagerly anticipated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 Summit will see leaders in their field addressing a range of issues, including the future of Travel &amp; Tourism as globalisation is called into question; the impact of security threats and climate change on the right and ability of people to travel; the constraints to increased connectivity and infrastructure development in the ASEAN region; and the innovations which will enable Travel &amp; Tourism growth over the coming decades.<\/p>\n<!-- Error, Advert is not available at this time due to schedule\/geolocation restrictions! -->\n<p>Sessions will also include a discussion on digital borders, and how to balance security with travel facilitation; the growing internationalisation of Chinese tourism, both in terms of acquisitions and outbound travellers; how the sector can balance projected growth with protecting destinations; and future trends in business and luxury travel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speakers include influential figures from Travel &amp; Tourism and other sectors including:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Professor Ian Goldin, Oxford Martin School<br \/>\n\u2022 Taleb Rifai, Secretary General, World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO)<br \/>\n\u2022 H. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand<br \/>\n\u2022 Tony Fernandes, CEO, Air Asia<br \/>\n\u2022 Robert Jensen, CEO, Kenyon International Emergency Services<br \/>\n\u2022 April Rinne, Sharing economy expert and WEF Young Global Leader<br \/>\n\u2022 Sir David Tang, global entrepreneur and philanthropist<br \/>\n\u2022 Chadatip Chutrakul, CEO, Siam Piwat<br \/>\n\u2022 Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor, Tourism Authority Thailand<\/p>\n<p>WTTC\u2019s Tourism for Tomorrow Awards will be presented during the Summit on 27 April, showcasing the leaders in sustainable tourism in 2017.
