{"id":5060,"date":"2013-03-18T12:14:32","date_gmt":"2013-03-18T10:14:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/?p=5060"},"modified":"2024-03-07T15:09:10","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T15:09:10","slug":"new-yorker-sierras-suspected-murderer-caught-5060","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/new-yorker-sierras-suspected-murderer-caught-5060\/","title":{"rendered":"New Yorker Sierra&#8217;s suspected murderer caught"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/sierra-new-york.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5061\" alt=\"New Yorker Sierra&#039;s suspected murderer caught\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/sierra-new-york.jpg\" width=\"274\" height=\"220\" title=\"\"><\/a>A man believed to have murdered American Sarai Sierra, whose body was found behind the ancient city walls in \u0130stanbul in early February, was caught by security forces in the southern province of Hatay on Sunday, the governor of the province said.<\/h1>\n<p>A statement made by the Hatay Governor&#8217;s Office said the prime suspect in the murder of Sierra was captured in the Reyhanl\u0131 district of Hatay.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, Z.T., publicly known as \u201cLaz Ziya,\u201d was captured by security forces at around 12:00 p.m., Hatay Governor Celalettin Lekesiz confirmed at a press conference.<\/p>\n<p>After first being questioned by police, the suspect was referred to court.<\/p>\n<p>New Yorker Sierra, 33, disappeared late in January while vacationing in \u0130stanbul. She last contacted her family on the morning of Jan. 21, the day before she was supposed to begin her journey back to New York.
