\"\"<\/a>Turkish President Abdullah Gul arrived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on a four-day formal visit on Monday.<\/h2>\n

President Gul is visiting the Netherlands on occasion of the 400th anniversary of official relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n

Abdullah Gul will be the guest of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands during his stay in this country.<\/p>\n

Gul is the first Turkish president visiting the Netherlands in 11 years. Ahmet Necdet Sezer paid the last presidential visit to this country in 2001.<\/p>\n

After attending an official ceremony at the Amsterdam Dam Square on Tuesday, president will participate in the Turkish-Dutch Business Forum which will focus on cooperation opportunities in agriculture and animal breeding; logistics and transportation; renewable energy and environment technologies.<\/p>\n

Abdullah Gul then will proceed to The Hague on Wednesday, visit Dutch Senate and House of Representatives and meet Prime Minister Mark Rutte.<\/p>\n

President Gul will gather together with representatives of Turkish community living in the Netherlands, and deliver a speech at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, headed by Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Uzumcu.<\/p>\n

President will go to Venlo together with Queen Beatrix by train on Thursday, and open Turkey’s stand at the Floriade 2012 World Horticulture Expo.<\/p>\n

Abdullah Gul will later proceed to Maastricht and return to Turkey after meeting governor of Limburg.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
