{"id":3012,"date":"2010-04-28T10:53:37","date_gmt":"2010-04-28T07:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/?p=3012"},"modified":"2022-09-28T17:59:36","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T16:59:36","slug":"shanghai-hotel-tourism-expo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/shanghai-hotel-tourism-expo\/","title":{"rendered":"Shanghai Hotel, Tourism Stocks to Extend Gain on Expo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/shanghai-hotel-expo-tourism-travel-vacation.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-3013\" title=\"Shanghai Hotel, Tourism Stocks to Extend Gain on Expo\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/shanghai-hotel-expo-tourism-travel-vacation-280x220.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"220\"><\/a>Shanghai-based hotel, tourism and transport companies are likely to extend gains this year as a jump in visitors during the city\u2019s World Expo may increase earnings by 20 percent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The expo is expected to boost spending by about 100 billion yuan ($14.7 billion) during its May-to-October run, or about a fifth of the city\u2019s retail sales, Zhang Kun, a Shanghai-based strategist at Guotai Junan, the nation\u2019s second-biggest brokerage by revenue, said today.<\/p>\n<p>Shanghai Jinjiang International Hotels Development Co., China\u2019s largest hotel operator, Shanghai Oriental Pearl Group Co., operator of the tallest television tower, and Shanghai International Airport Co., which manages the second-busiest airfield, will be the largest beneficiaries, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarnings at these Shanghai-based companies may be boosted by about 20 percent this year due to the World Expo effect,\u201d Zhang said in a phone interview yesterday. \u201cHotel operators may be the biggest beneficiaries among all these industries. Should more people visit the city than expected, it\u2019s inevitable we will see room rates increased.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A total of 192 countries, including the U.K., France and Japan, and 50 international organizations will take part in the Expo, which starts May 1, according to the Expo\u2019s Web site.
