{"id":2263,"date":"2010-01-14T10:13:17","date_gmt":"2010-01-14T08:13:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/?p=2263"},"modified":"2010-01-14T10:13:17","modified_gmt":"2010-01-14T08:13:17","slug":"aid-of-haiti-quake-victims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/aid-of-haiti-quake-victims\/","title":{"rendered":"Firefighters go to aid of Haiti quake victims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Survivors trapped following a massive earthquake in the Caribbean will today receive help from Lincolnshire firefighters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/haiti-quake.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2264\" title=\"Firefighters go to aid of Haiti quake victims\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/haiti-quake-280x220.jpg\" alt=\"Firefighters go to aid of Haiti quake victims\" width=\"280\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a>Officers from the county&#8217;s fire service flew out to Haiti yesterday to lead the UK&#8217;s rescue efforts, after the state was rocked by an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter Scale.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of people are feared dead following the disaster which struck the country&#8217;s capital Port-au-Prince at 4.53pm on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>It has left tens of thousands of people homeless, with buildings and shacks toppled.<\/p>\n<p>Five members of the county&#8217;s urban search and rescue team plus five Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue officers have been deployed after the service received an emergency call to help.<\/p>\n<p>The service&#8217;s rescue dog Holly has also been called into action.<\/p>\n<p>The Lincolnshire team will be joined by firefighters from Kent, Lancashire, Manchester, the West Midlands, Wales and West Sussex.<\/p>\n<p>Lincolnshire&#8217;s chief fire officer Mike Thomas will be responsible for leading the UK&#8217;s response.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Once in Haiti, the team will work alongside aid agencies from around the world, helping with the efforts to find and free survivors trapped under the rubble,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>The duration of the trip is unknown but it is believed it could be up to 14 days.<\/p>\n<p>British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said he was &#8220;saddened and worried&#8221; by the reported scale of the earthquake.<\/p>\n<!-- Either there are no banners, they are disabled or none qualified for this location! -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Survivors trapped following a massive earthquake in the Caribbean will today receive help from Lincolnshire firefighters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"jnews-multi-image_gallery":[],"jnews_single_post":[],"jnews_primary_category":[],"jnews_override_counter":[],"jnews_post_split":[],"footnotes":""},"categories":[137],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2263","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sectoral"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2263","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2263"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2263\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2263"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=2263"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=2263"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
