{"id":2087,"date":"2009-12-24T14:02:59","date_gmt":"2009-12-24T12:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/?p=2087"},"modified":"2022-09-28T20:09:56","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T19:09:56","slug":"british-airways-and-american-airlines-joint-venture-suffers-setback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/british-airways-and-american-airlines-joint-venture-suffers-setback\/","title":{"rendered":"British Airways and American Airlines joint venture suffers setback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The tie-up plan on transatlantic routes between British Airways and American Airlines has suffered yet another setback after the US Department of Justice deemed the joint venture could result in competitive harm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/british-american-airlines.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2088\" title=\"British Airways and American Airlines joint venture suffers setback\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/british-american-airlines-280x220.jpg\" alt=\"British Airways and American Airlines joint venture suffers setback\" width=\"280\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a>The competition watchdog believed that British Airways and AA should agree to concessions in order to secure approval, with officials recommending that BA sell some of its previous take-off and landing slots at London\u2019s Heathrow airport.<\/p>\n<p>Both airlines have made two unsuccessful attempts to form a joint venture on services across the Atlantic.
