{"id":1717,"date":"2009-11-07T11:11:18","date_gmt":"2009-11-07T09:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/?p=1717"},"modified":"2009-11-07T11:13:03","modified_gmt":"2009-11-07T09:13:03","slug":"air-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/air-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Air Canada sights recovery on its radar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/air-canada.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1719\" title=\"Air Canada\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turizmtatilseyahat.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/air-canada-280x220.jpg\" alt=\"Air Canada\" width=\"280\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a>The erosion in Air Canada&#8217;s business-class revenue is becoming less severe, sparking hope that the travel market is finally on the mend.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The worst of the worst seems to be behind us,&#8221; Air Canada chief executive officer Calin Rovinescu said during a conference call yesterday, after announcing a profitable third quarter due to foreign-exchange gains. &#8220;We&#8217;re seeing sprouts of green coming up from the earth. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the third quarter, Canada&#8217;s largest carrier saw its revenue from premium travellers decrease 16 per cent from the same period in 2008, marking an improvement from the 30-per-cent decline for the second quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The airline was able to lure back some corporate travellers in the third quarter after introducing a lower-priced ticket for its &#8220;Executive Class&#8221; category earlier this year.
