The industry average was 4.04.<\/p>\n<p>US Airways improved on arrivals on time, or within 14 minutes of schedule. It logged 81.4 percent of its flights on time in August, or eighth best, versus 80.8 percent a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>Southwest logged 82.8 percent on time, or sixth best, versus 84.4 percent the year earlier.
