Continental Airlines reports improvement in load factors

continental airlinesContinental Airlines reported its operational performance for May 2010 which showed that its load factors for May were all up from the same period in 2009.

The airline announced a consolidated load factor of 83.8%, 2.9 percentage points above the figure for May 2009, and a mainline load factor of 84.1%, 2.8 points above the same period last year.

Continental recorded a consolidated traffic increase of 3.7% and a consolidated capacity increase of 0.2% in May 2010 compared to May 2009.

An on-time arrival rate of 82.5% and a mainline segment completion factor of 99.4% were recorded by the airline in May.
